Inadequate quality and quantity of animal feed is a highly significant factor that affects production livestock in Ethiopia. The major sources (crop residue natural pasture) did not support even the annual maintenance requirement feed. Thus, to fill this gap, cultivated forage essential. However, utilization improved low highlands Ethiopia due different constraints. So, identifying constraints opportunities important for designing development strategies intervention options production. study was conducted identify main three agroecologies. Of all agroecologies, two districts were selected by simple random sampling system, total 12 peasant associations from six (two each district) system. 30 respondents system association. 360 interviewed data gathered through focus group discussion interviewing individuals analyzed SPSS. Approximately 51% produce crops land shortages, lack awareness seed, fear farmers towards birds set on forages. production, efficient land, fallow planting or sowing with food crops, contour strips areas homesteads can enhance adoption areas.
